The KoreFit was created by a physical therapist that wanted to take time honored rehabilitation exercises to a new level. He incorporated many safety features and ensured the portability of the KoreFit.
The KoreFit is unique because it works with air transfer technology. The KoreFit helps you put your patient in a safe environment to help increase their rehabilitation success.
The KoreFit's top surface has a large sweet spot that helps reduce injury to the user. If your patient is sitting on, standing on, kneeling on, or even performing upper extremity motions while on the KoreFit, they are utilizing the large surface area.
The ridges on the top of the KoreFit are designed to place your patient in a neutral position. The ridges form to the foot or hand or back and give appropriate proprioceptive feedback to your patient. The patient will feel if they are performing their motions correctly and you will be able to see this balancing act immediately.
The KoreFit is best used initially by setting the KoreFit in the (1) position when it is opened. The (1) position completely locks out both halves of the KoreFit and makes them two completely individual units. As your patient progresses in therapy and you decide to increase their challenge, open up the KoreFit's valve control system to a (2), (3) or even a (4) position. The (4) setting completely opens the valve and air readily flows between the units. These other positions gradually open the air transference system. You will see the ballasts inflate or deflate depending on the weight of the patient.
The unique air transference system allows you to take your normal rehabilitation program and add a dynamic balance component that you cannot get with older balance devices.
