TS-1211 Digital Tens Unit
Special Features
- A large , easy to read
LCD panel clearly displays the current parameter settings.
- A treatment timer can be set to
allow the unit to shutoff automatically after the programmed time is up. It also alerts the
user of the last five minutes remaining.
- The microprocessor controls provide "clean" and
precise settings, and can also be programmed to monitor usage times of up to 60 treatment
sessions, recording up to 999 minutes per session. This feature is especially helpful
for the clinician and third party administrators in monitoring the patient's progress.
- Patients can choose from five treatment modes which
include: Burst, Normal, Modulated Rate and Width,
Strength Duration (SD) and a powerful Bi-Pulse mode
which delivers gate control pain-blocking effect from one
channel and endorphin release treatment from the other
channel at the same time.
- Push button controls make the
adjustments easier and provides precise settings. A built in
memory chip also recalls the last used settings whenever
the unit is turned back on, so all the patient has to do
is turn the unit on and adjust the amplitude to the desired
intensity.
- A low battery indicator is also displayed when
the power level goes low to alert the patient that a new
battery will be needed soon.
Technical Specifications
- Channels: Dual, isolated between channels
- Waveform: Asymmetrical biphasic square pulse
- Amplitude: Adjustable 0-80 mA (40 Volts) peak into 500 ohm load each channel
- Pulse Rate: Adjustable 2-150 pulses per second (Hz)
- Pulse Width: Adjustable 50-300 microseconds (us)
- Treatment Modes: Burst: 7 pulses per burst, 2 bursts per second, with a fixed pulse rate of 100 Hz.
Only pulse width is adjustable
- Normal: Provides continuous train of pulses with no variation or modulation of set
pulse rate and width. Pulse rate and pulse width are fully adjustable.
- MRW: (Modulated Rate & Width) During the beginning of the first 0.5 second
period, the pulse width is automatically decreased to 50% of its original
setting and then during the 0.5 second period, the pulse rate is decreased
to 50% of its original setting. Pulse rate and width are fully adjustable.
- SD: (Strength Duration) Consists of alternating modulated intensity and pulse
width, so that the intensity is always increasing when the pulse width is
decreasing, and vice-versa. Amplitude is modulated to 62.5% of maximum
setting (width equal to setting), and pulse width modulates to 67% of
setting (amplitude equal to setting). Total cycle time 6 seconds. Pulse
rate and width are fully adjustable.
- Bi-Pulse: Provides endorphin release effect and gate control pain-blocking effect
from both channels at the same time, respectively. Channel 1 delivers a
fixed pulse rate of 4Hz, while Channel 2 delivers a fixed pulse rate of 100
Hz. Stimulation is burst on for 1 second, then off for 1 second. Pulse
width is adjustable.
- Patient Compliance Timer: Records the last 60 individual treatment sessions, with up to 999 minutes per session,
and can record the whole treatment time for all the cumulative sessions.
- Treatment Timer: Adjustable 5-90 minutes in 5 minute increments, or Continuous.
When the remaining treatment time is 5 minutes, the clock symbol will begin to flash
every second.
- Automatic Shutoff: When using timed treatment, the unit will shut off automatically when ended, but will
beep every 10 seconds until the amplitude knob is turned off completely. Treatment
can resume by turning the amplitude back on.
- Last Setting Recall: Memorizes the last settings that were used and will recall these settings whenever the
unit is turned back on. These settings will remain the same until they are changed.
- Low Battery Indicator: Battery symbol will flash in the LCD display when battery power level falls below 6.5
volts, to alert user of needing a new battery soon.
- Battery: One 9 Volt DC battery (heavy duty, alkaline, or rechargeable)
Size: 100 (L) x 59 (W) x 24 (H)
